Fluid Flow is a one off original photograph taken at Thornwick Bay. The image centres on a single dark boulder as the tide washes over and around it, softened by long exposure into a smooth, flowing veil.

The contrast between the permanence of the rock and the movement of the sea creates a calm, almost abstract composition. Subtle tones and textures draw attention to the rhythm of the water, giving the impression that the sea is folding and breathing around the stone.
