Lisa-Marie Robinson is an artist and founder of LM Art Gallery, an independent contemporary art gallery in Cleethorpes specialising in bold, expressive and collectible artwork.

The gallery was created almost by accident. What began as a personal studio space for Lisa-Marie to paint quickly evolved into something more, as local artists began approaching her to exhibit their work. Recognising both the depth of creative talent in the area and the demand for accessible contemporary art, she opened the space to the public.

With over 20 years’ experience in London working in artist management and public relations, Lisa-Marie brings a strong understanding of positioning, storytelling and the art market. This experience now informs the way the gallery presents, promotes and sells contemporary art to a growing base of collectors across the UK.

Alongside running the gallery, she continues her own artistic practice, creating bold, instinctive work driven by colour, movement and lived experience, an ethos that underpins the gallery’s curatorial direction.

Her approach challenges the traditional gallery model, focusing instead on making it easier to discover, connect with and buy contemporary art without intimidation.

Today, LM Art Gallery represents a growing roster of UK artists and offers collectors access to original paintings and limited edition works both online and in the gallery space.

Adam first walked into LM Art Gallery to view the artwork — and never really left.

What began as a creative connection quickly evolved into an important part of the gallery’s day to day life, with Adam becoming a dedicated and valued creative partner within the space. Bringing energy, reliability, ideas and ongoing support, he has played a significant role in helping the gallery grow during its early stages.

From helping with installations, artist support and exhibition planning to contributing ideas for events, collaborations and future projects, Adam consistently adds value behind the scenes. His calm approach, creative input and willingness to get involved wherever needed has made him an important part of the gallery’s evolving identity.

Passionate about independent art spaces, community and supporting artists, Adam shares the gallery’s belief that contemporary art should feel welcoming, accessible and full of personality rather than intimidating or exclusive. His commitment to the creative vision of LM Art Gallery continues to help shape the atmosphere and direction of the space as it develops.

Part creative support, part problem solver, part sounding board and part professional sausage bun muncher, Adam has become one of the driving forces helping LM Art Gallery continue to build something unique on the Cleethorpes seafront.

Pip & Patsy

Directors of Gallery Security & Snack Management

Every contemporary art gallery needs personality — LM Art Gallery has Pip and Patsy. 

As the gallery’s Directors of Gallery Security & Snack Management, Pip and Patsy have become part of the day to day atmosphere of the space, welcoming visitors, supervising installations, and ensuring all creative activity is carried out with the appropriate level of fuss and attention.

Known for their talent in emotional support, biscuit detection, and appearing exactly where artwork is being photographed, the pair bring warmth, humour and personality to the gallery environment. While the humans focus on exhibitions, artists and contemporary art projects, Pip and Patsy remain committed to the important things: greeting collectors, inspecting deliveries, sleeping in sunbeams and occasionally acting like they own the building.

At LM Art Gallery, art should feel accessible, welcoming and full of life, and Pip and Patsy are very much part of that energy.

Ian Ramshaw ( aka Beanz )

Artist, Friend & Creative Spirit Guide

Ian Ramshaw was an artist, a best friend to Lisa-Marie, and one of the people who believed in her long before LM Art Gallery existed.

Before he passed, Ian made Lisa-Marie promise that she would continue with her art and pursue a creative life properly — a promise she carried with her long after he was gone. Building this gallery is part of keeping that promise.

As an artist himself, Ian understood creativity beyond surface level. He understood the overthinking, the self doubt, the instinct to create anyway, and the need to make something meaningful out of difficult experiences. His belief in her never disappeared, even during the moments she lost belief in herself.

Although Ian is no longer here in physical form, his presence still feels deeply connected to the gallery and the creative direction behind it. In many ways, he continues to guide Lisa-Marie creatively from the other side through instinct, energy, courage and the constant reminder not to play safe.

Ian never got to see LM Art Gallery become real. Or maybe, somehow, he did.
