Lisa-Marie Robinson is a British contemporary abstract artist whose bold, expressive paintings are created through an intuitive response to music. Rather than beginning with sketches or visual references, each artwork starts with sound, energy, rhythm and emotion, allowing colour, movement and texture to emerge instinctively on the canvas.

Drawing inspiration from music, emotion and lived experience, Lisa-Marie creates original abstract paintings that capture energy rather than representation. Her work explores the relationship between sound and colour, translating the atmosphere and emotional intensity of a piece of music into dynamic compositions filled with movement, layered texture and expressive mark making. Every painting is unique, reflecting a moment that can never be recreated.

Working primarily in mixed media, Robinson builds richly textured surfaces using acrylic, spray paint, inks and other materials to create contemporary artworks with depth, vibrancy and presence. Her distinctive style combines spontaneous gestures with considered composition, resulting in paintings that feel both powerful and refined.

After more than two decades working in London’s entertainment and public relations industries, Robinson returned to her lifelong passion for painting and founded LM Art Gallery in Cleethorpes. The gallery champions contemporary artists whose work is bold, accessible and emotionally engaging, while also serving as the home of her own evolving artistic practice.

Robinson’s work is held in private collections and appeals to collectors seeking statement contemporary art that brings colour, personality and emotion into interior spaces. Her paintings are designed not simply to decorate a room, but to create an atmosphere and provoke an emotional connection.
