Part of the Pressure series, Pressure II presents a face tightly compressed between two rigid forms, its features distorted under force. The closed eyes and strained expression convey a sense of endurance, evoking the physical and emotional pressures carried within the body.

The cold cast bronze surface is enriched with a varied patina, where oxidised greens and warm metallic tones suggest age and wear. This is disrupted by vivid blue markings, an expressive intervention that introduces a contemporary energy and hints at release, impact, or internal rupture.

Despite its small scale, the work holds a strong presence, distilling tension into a contained, intimate form that speaks to resilience under pressure.
