Turbulence captures the shifting energy of the North Sea at Thornwick Bay, where movement and stillness exist side by side. Through long exposure, the sea is transformed into a soft, almost abstract composition, with layers of blue flowing into one another like breath or tide.

Waves dissolve into gentle streaks and subtle gradients, creating a sense of rhythm rather than a fixed moment. With no clear horizon, the image becomes less about place and more about feeling – a contemplative interpretation of the sea that is both calming and quietly powerful.
